According to Xinhua News Agency, Shanghai, May 18, President Xi Jinping held talks with President Almazibek Atambayev of the Kyrgyz Republic on the 18th.
The two heads of state spoke highly of the achievements of cooperation in various fields since the establishment of the strategic partnership between China and Kyrgyzstan, and decided to work together to deepen bilateral relations and maintain regional peace and stability.
Xi Jinping pointed out that since we jointly announced the establishment of China-Kyrgyzstan strategic partnership last year, cooperation in various fields has developed rapidly. At the same time, new changes have taken place in the international situation, bringing some unstable and uncertain factors to the region, which puts forward new and higher requirements for the development of China-Kyrgyzstan relations. China-Kyrgyzstan cooperation must be high-level, long-term, and adhere to friendship, mutual trust, mutual benefit and win-win results.
Xi Jinping said that China is a sincere friend that Kyrgyzstan can rely on and rely on, and will continue to provide assistance within its capacity for Kyrgyzstan's economic and social development, and encourage domestic enterprises to expand investment in Kyrgyzstan. The two sides should focus on implementing cooperation projects such as Kyrgyzstan's power transmission and transformation lines, thermal power plants, oil refineries, and natural gas pipelines, and promote the early completion of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan Highway. Provide support and guarantee for cooperation between the two countries in terms of financing, transportation and other aspects. Kyrgyzstan is an important part of the construction of the Silk Road Economic Belt. It is necessary to connect the relevant bilateral cooperation between China and Kyrgyzstan with this initiative to promote the construction of regional connectivity and trade and investment facilitation.
The two sides should continue to deepen security law enforcement cooperation, jointly crack down on the "three forces", drug trafficking and transnational organized crime, strengthen people to people exchanges, and constantly deepen the good neighborly and friendly feelings between the two peoples.
Xi Jinping stressed that maintaining peace, stability, development and prosperity in Central Asia is in the fundamental interests of countries in the region. China opposes external interference in the internal affairs of Central Asian countries. China is willing to cooperate closely with Kyrgyzstan within the framework of CICA and the Shanghai Cooperation Organization to establish a sense of community of destiny and interests, advocate a common, comprehensive, cooperative and sustainable concept of Asian security, and jointly promote regional peace, stability and development.
