On September 2, the first domestic urban gas high proportion hydrogen blending combustion test and hydrogen separation test were successfully implemented by Zhejiang Energy Group's subsidiary, Zheneng Natural Gas Group. The tests verified the feasibility of blending hydrogen at ratios of 3% to 30% with natural gas, filling a gap in China's testing of high proportion hydrogen blending using existing urban gas facilities, and laying an important foundation for achieving independent and controllable hydrogen energy transmission technology.

On August 27, the Shandong Provincial Energy Bureau announced the list of new energy storage projects for the year 2024. The list shows that a total of 86 energy storage projects are included as new energy storage projects for 2024, with a total capacity of 16.331GW. Among them, there are 73 lithium battery energy storage projects with a capacity of 13.825GW.
