As a major national science and technology support project for energy conservation and emission reduction during the "Twelfth Five-Year Plan", Taizhou Power Plant Phase II Project has built two million-kilowatt ultra-supercritical secondary reheat coal-fired generating units No. 3 and No. 4, which is the first in the world. After nearly one and a half years of research and development, the project has made major breakthroughs in the system design and equipment manufacturing of the million kilowatt secondary reheat unit: the main engine and control parameters have complete independent intellectual property rights, the boiler adopts tower furnace, the turbine adopts a five-cylinder four-exhaust scheme, the main steam pressure is 31 MPa, the main steam temperature is 600 ℃, the primary and secondary reheat steam temperatures are both 610 ℃, and the power generation efficiency of the unit reaches 47.82, the coal consumption for power generation is 256.8g/kWh, and the coal consumption for power supply is 266.5g/kWh. All environmental protection indicators such as smoke, sulfur dioxide, and nitrogen oxides are better than the "strictest in history and the strictest in the world" national ultra-low emission limits. The comprehensive parameters have reached the world's leading level, so that my country has completely got rid of the shackles of foreign intellectual property rights in terms of high-parameter and large-capacity units.

It is reported that Unit 4 is steadily advancing the commissioning work and will be put into production as planned in the near future.
